Crushing on Maltese cuisine

1 min read

Malta is a little island in the Mediterranean between Italy and North Africa, the cuisine reflects their geographical location as well as their complex history. British, African, Ottoman, Catholic overtones are everywhere in the food and culture.

Mark my words, Maltese cuisine is the one to watch in 2019. Malta will be in the world’s spotlight in 2018 and the world will be pleasantly surprised by their rich food history and culture.

On my Instagram, delight in a delicious meal of short ribs of beef slow cooked sous vide with a blend Maltese spices, a little bit of Jack Daniels. Slow cooked at 68 degrees for 48 hours the ribs are a perfect medium, tender. Served with Malteses condiments (not pictured). Fried Mediterranean Shrimp that are sweet, briny and garlicky and Fresh bread with Tomato Kunserve

Malta has a beautiful climate, friendly residents, a rich history and architecture to match. My prediction is that Maltese cuisine will be the cuisine to watch in 2019 based on what I can see happening on the ground.
