Proponents of affordable healthcare push insurance enrollment, while POTUS continues to diminish it

Open enrollment for health insurance started Nov 1, and runs through Dec 15. As a reminder, make sure to renew or sign up for coverage by Friday, December 15.

But, if you rely on the current Administration to remind citizens, forget about it. Even the Obamas remind people to enroll into a health insurance program by its deadline.

“Getting covered means getting peace of mind for yourself and your family,” tweeted former first lady on Monday.

Added, Barack Obama in a Twitter post, “Just got off a call to thank folks who are working hard to help more Americans across the country sign up for health coverage. But it’s up to all of us to help spread the word …”

Healthcare Trumpery

Current Trump Administration disagrees with the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare; thus cut the budget to advertise during the enrollment period. As well, POTUS cut the enrollment period by 45 days, resulting in shortening time for people who cannot afford health insurance to access it.

Right now, a little of over 3.5 million people enrolled. For more information or enrollment, visit https://www.healthcare.gov/
