La Zona Rossa Diaries: Stocking the shelves | Series

Kaia Shivers, an NYU professor teaching in Florence, opted to stay in the city after her university’s local campus shuttered. Two weeks later, the whole country was placed under Marshall Law with limited movement until April 3, 2020.

With Italy in full quarantine, Shivers provides a lens on life as a popular tourist city shutters to decrease the spike of infections and deaths in the country. This gives you a glimpse of her preparing for the first day of the quarantine in La Zona Rossa.
