On the heels of Black Lives Matter protests, members of the LGBTQIA+ talk about critical issues facing their community.

Lisa Durden’s spanking new podcast expands the conversation on how we discuss and address issues throughout the Black community during the Black Lives movement. Inviting several members of the LGBTQIA+, they spoke from racism in the community, to legislation to reparations. And, if Billy Porter got it right.

Jewel Cadet.  Ratchet Revolutionary, Social Justice Organizer for the rights of Women, Girls, Femmes and for the Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Community. Director of Programs at the Center for Anti-Violence Education and  Host of Jewels Gems IG Live Talks Show.

Preston Carter.  Former Community Organizer/Activist-Hat. Also a Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming workshop coordinator  and public health worker for The Institute for Family Health.

Asanni Armon. Founder of For The Gworls. Organizer for the liberation of all Black people, with a special focus on Black transgender people. Rapper. 

Jamie Lee.  Board Member at Black Trans Femmes In The Arts. An Arts Organizer for The Black Feminist Kitchen Working Group. Jamie is also currently attending Lesley University as a graduate student where she is studying to receive her second Masters of Arts and accredited licensing in Drama Therapy.

Josh Odom. The Founder and curator of Healing While Black LLC, an online platform dedicated to the mental health and wellness of Black queer, trans*, and non-binary people. He is currently pursuing his MSW and intends to open his own practice.

Tyrell Cooper. Activist Founder of Baldwin’s 2nd Generation- a space for Black Queer, Trans, and non-binary folks that offers resources, support, and community.

Lisa Durden is a social and pop cultural commentator, producer and TV personality.
