Dave Chappell spoke prophetic words during his December 2020 “Saturday Night Live” skit that pointed to a sobering fact: the quarantine shut down mass shootings overnight.

After quarantine restrictions were lifted, mass shootings resurfaced and have not stopped since. What does this say about guns and America. Moreover, there have been a rash of shootings, but they are not in the discourse of gun control. However, shooting deaths in Black and Latino communities continued in the pandemic; especially in Los Angeles and Chicago.
