Some Eastern Europeans say ‘war no more’ following Russia’s military invasion in Ukraine

Russia invades Ukraine after weeks of threats over border disputes, and opposing Ukraine’s efforts to join NATO.

The full-scale conflict with Russia as the aggressor shows divisions on many fronts. U.S. Republicans voice disagreement with President Joe Biden’s refusal to send troops. Europeans are torn in how to handle the situation, and even Russians are protesting President Vladimir Putin’s actions. The world looks on and prepares for the ripple effects of the conflict as nations meet in hopes to have some type of diplomacy ensue. Meanwhile, banks in several countries have locked out Russian Oligarchs, and trading agreements with the former Soviet bloc have come to a screeching halt. We speak with Dr. Sherice Janaye Nelson on the updates of the conflict and the consequences of war.
