After 27 years, Lt. Sidra Sherrod-Strong who worked diligently in the L.A. County’s Sheriff Department, filed a lawsuit. Now she tells her story.

When Lt. Sherrod-Strong voiced concerns about molded, rotten food going to detainees during the pandemic, she became the target of department reprisals. Now navigating her complaint, and supporting her husband, Lt. Eric Strong as he runs for Sheriff, Lt. Sherrod-Strong shares her stories and experiences of being a Black woman in some of the top ranks of law enforcement.
