Ark Republic accepts stories, video, photography, cartoons and graphics on any topic related Ark Republic’s mission of providing multi-media coverage of under-explored, under-examined and under-reported stories.
All submissions must be original, and exclusive to Ark Republic. We will not consider previously published articles in either print or digital formats. Content must be in one of the following file forms: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf, .txt, .mp3, .mp4, .mov, and .flv, and .jpg. Submissions may be sent by email to buildwithus@arkrepublic.com. We will not accept submissions via postal mail. Submissions may be sent to us at any time year round.
- Written submissions typically run from 250 to 1,000 words. Longer pieces will be considered beforehand, after pitched and approved.
- For photography submissions, a minimum of six photos with clearly identified subjects for each photo will be considered. All photos should be clearly named and identified with corresponding text attached.
- Video submissions typically run from 1 to 15 minutes. If your video submission is longer than 1 minute, please prepare a trailer of 1 minute or less to post on social media.
- Poetry pieces typically run from 15 to 500 words.
Due to the large volume of emails we receive, we may be unable to reply to each submission. If you do not hear from us within five business days, please assume that we are unable to use your article. You should then feel free to offer it elsewhere.
Payment is based on a variety of factors including the author’s experience, length/volume of content and subject matter. Fees will be discussed if there is interest in your work.
